Alaska Highway Business & Travel Guide
The Alaska Highway Business & Travel Guide is a new magazine created to help travelers navigate the Alaska Highway.
With maps, articles, infographics, sequential listings, and a breakdown of each stop of the highway mile by mile, this was meant to help even the newest travelers have a good experience.
Working on this project pushed me out of my comfort zone. I wrote most of the articles and the team was tiny yet experienced.

The Guide was created using a flip-book style. There are two sections, "summer” and “winter," and each one focuses on the businesses open during that season to help the traveler navigate the highway and know what to expect.
The winter section features articles pertaining to that time of year like "Driving in the Snow" and a list of open businesses and schedules.

This was the first article I wrote for the magazine. I was trying to find a topic where I would feel comfortable writing about something visual, yet related to traveling and cars.
This article helped me gain confidence in my ability to get out of my comfort zone, do some research, and be creative with my words and not just visual elements.

There are many infographics to help the reader get quick facts about the places along the Alaska Highway.
