Although I made this in conjunction with the video department at BYUI, I had complete freedom to come up with an idea and direct the shot.

I suggested a stop animation to make something different from what has been done in the past. I wanted to have a uniform look and had a specific vision of how I wanted this to look. 

One of my student designers offered to be our hand model (thank you, Emily). I asked her if she had yellow nail polish, I bought the bracelet in the dollar store and designed all of the labels on the materials.
